Jasper's FundA massive THANK YOU to everyone who donated money to Southmead Hospital's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. So far, we have collected £2,560 in Jasper's name. Those of you who forwarded donations via ourselves should by now have received an acknowledgement letter from Southmead Hospital. Many of you, however, sent donations direct to the NICU without including your name and address. The unit have sent us a thank you letter for all those donations. Click letter to view. Please make cheques payable to North Bristol NHS Trust and write NICU/Jasper Lockett on the reverse. Cheques may either be posted to Ann & Pete, or sent direct to NICU, Southmead Hospital, Southmead, Bristol. We are discussing what the money should go towards with hospital staff. There are a few items that they need that are particularly relevant to Jasper's situation, eg small baby scales so they can weigh the babies accurately inside the incubator (Jasper was being weighed twice a day sometimes), a special pump to deliver the right amount of drugs and fluids (Jasper was using 7 pumps at one time; they towered so high the nurses had to stand on a chair to reach the top one). We would also like to purchase something that will help parents who have babies on the unit. We will report back when all the money has been collected in and let you know what it is to be spent on. Whatever we choose will have a plaque inscribed in Jasper's memory. Please sign Jasper's Guestbook, and share your own experience or let us have your feedback on this site. Alternatively, if you wish you can send comments to: email
