The in-house kit...
Recording at Attic Attack...
Attic Attack Studio uses a fast, powerful Macintosh
G5 computer running Logic Pro 7 for multi-track digital recording. Alternatively,
we can use a Mackie 24 track hard disc recorder in house or on location.
Mixing can be done internally in Logic Pro 7 with its own range of plug in effects and the Focusrite Liquid Mix EQ and Dynamics, and through the Yamaha O2R digital mixer, with four built in multi effects units (including the TC Unity board) plus dynamics processing and four band parametric equalisation on all of its 40 channels..
Mixing in Logic Pro 7 can also be fully automated.
MIDI sequencing is catered for with Logic Pro 7 running on a Mac G5 Quad and integrated to run alongside the audio system.
MIDI and audio tracks can be freely edited together.
Keyboard players can use the Korg Trinity V3 Pro X, featuring Korg¹s Z1 physical modelling synthesis and an 88 note weighted keyboard. The MIDI system connects to a range of modules and samplers from the leading makers. A range of sampled instruments includes top quality grand pianos.
Multi effects and reverbs come from Logic Pro
7, Sony and Ensoniq units as well as effects from the Yamaha O2R (TC and
Yamaha).
For live recording, we have a range of quality microphones and valve pre-amps.
Your recording is mastered to CD, DAT, Minidisc or 1/4" tape and we can provide CD and cassette copies.
We also undertake mobile recording and can travel to record you at a concert or a place you feel comfortable working in. Perhaps you would like to use your favourite piano or to record a larger ensemble in a room with suitable acoustics.
